Roofers in Brandon

Brandon has a long history of flint working, and many of its older houses and cottages are built of flint and brick, with clay tiled or slate roofs. Around them are post-war and modern homes, and the edge of Thetford Forest brings plenty of tall trees close to houses.

Older roofs here often need careful repairs: slipped and broken clay tiles, worn flashing and valleys, and chimney repairs. Old clay tiles are hard to match exactly, so on older roofs around Brandon we try to reuse sound tiles wherever we can and blend in replacements that suit the roof. Where a slope has failed, we can strip it, fit new membrane and battens, and relay the best of the original tiles, so the repaired area sits comfortably with the rest of the roof.

Brandon is also close to the forest and the open heath of Breckland, where storms can bring down branches and push wind under loose tiles. After a storm, check your roof from the ground for lifted or slipped tiles, damaged ridges and gutters pulled out of line, and call us before the next spell of rain if you spot anything.
