Roofers in Thetford, Norfolk

Thetford is across the county line in Norfolk, along the A11 from Red Lodge. We work across the town and the Breckland villages around it, including Kilverstone, Croxton, Barnham and Euston.

Thetford has a historic core of flint and brick buildings, but much of the town grew in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, when large estates were built for families moving out of London. Many of those homes have flat-roofed garages, porches and extensions, and roofline that is now decades old.

That makes flat roofing in EPDM rubber or 3-layer mineral felt, roof repairs and fascias and roofline the jobs we expect to be asked about most in the town. On older houses in the centre and the villages, we also carry out chimney repairs and re-roofs.

Every inspection and written quote is free, and we hold £1m public liability insurance. You can pay by bank transfer, debit or credit card, or cash.

Many of the homes built in Thetford in the post-war decades have simple pitched roofs covered in concrete tiles, with flat roofs on garages and porches. After fifty years or more, the battens, felt and fixings under those tiles can be worn out even if the tiles look fine from the street. We can lift a few tiles during the inspection to check, then tell you whether repairs or a full re-roof makes more sense.

Flat roofs on garages and extensions often hold water where the deck has sagged, and standing water shortens the life of any covering. When we re-cover a flat roof, we check the deck and replace any rotten boards, and we make sure the new roof falls properly to the gutter, so rain runs off instead of sitting on top. New fascias and gutters can be fitted at the same time if the roof edge needs them.
